Explore, Always

“If you walk into a forest – you hear all kinds of subtle sounds – but underneath there is an all pervasive silence.”
— Eckhart Tolle

I think that one of my favorite parts about wandering around woods is the contradiction between absolute stillness and the inexplicably slow - yet voracious growth of all the living things surrounding you. There is so much life - sprouting, stretching and unfolding towards the sun, that you would think that such turbulence would raise a ruckus.

But, no.

Growth in the forest is soundless and still, almost akin to a secret.

And, I think, that secret is my favorite part.
