I knew that there was one place that Cody and I had to go while in New York - St. Patrick's Cathedral. I have seen its looming ceilings, impossible arches and the flicker of hundreds of votive candles in pictures. But I wanted to feel the hush of the building, the specter of history and sit in the presence of silence. I am no means religious - but I am enamoured by churches and their sense of sacred. Being in the presence of a space that inspires awe, while capturing your artistic imagination is both humbling and venerating.
