Adventures with Bittie
My dog does that amazing thing where they just exist and make my whole life better for it

Yesterday Bittie and I decided to explore down by the river - it is one of her favorite places. The best part being, there is usually no one down there, the exception being extremely quiet fishermen. There are areas where the grass is waist high or taller and she LOVES running through the grass tunnels that form over the paths. I had it in my head that would make a cool picture - her walking towards me through the grass tunnel.
Bittie had other ideas.
She is used to her picture being taken and has become inured against looking pretty for the camera, pricking her ears or even just looking at me. I think it pleases her to be a brat. This does not help the fact she is 100% deaf now and really enjoys playing the deaf card. Bitties do what Bitties want, and now without her hearing, she can do what she wants even more. She is getting pretty good at hand signals, but for those to work you need to be in her line of sight - and she has learned that all she needs to do is turn her head.
Brat.
So imagine me laying in the mud with waist high grass trying to get her to walk towards me through grass tunnels, giving her the hand signal to come and her simply turning her head away.
Sigh. It was a good idea in my head. And I did find a fuzzy friend, held a piece of fall and found a cool mushroom.
