“While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about”
I think, one of the coolest things I have been asked to photograph was Emily’s Bat Mitzvah at Heritage Park, alongside Graeme Scott Photography, this past spring. It was a day filled with spun sugar, laughter, Ferris wheels and love - a joy to photograph. I think it is quite humbling to be invited to document a moment in a person’s life that marks a new chapter, celebrating the new and first steps towards the rest of their lives.
Dear Emily,
I wish that you always find the sparkle in all the days that come your way,
I wish that you never fail to laugh,
I wish that you look upon the world with courage, determination and an unwavering belief in yourself,
I wish that you never lose sight of the endless moments of childhood,
