Canola Field Dreams

Hold summer in your hand, pour summer in a glass, a tiny glass of course, the smallest tingling sip for children; change the season in your veins by raising glass to lip and tilting summer in”
— Ray Bradbury, Dandelion WineSource

Amoung some of my favorite photos taken, were shot one golden evening on a dirt road, surrounded by canola and a sky leaking glorious colour and warmth. Dancing in long grass, haloed by glitter - it was an evening well spent.

I was not sure I could top that night - but when Heather spoke of making photos in a golden field - well, I knew we had to try.

I mean. This night.

A stunning sea of yellow, vibrant and proud - standing against a backdrop of an Alberta storm, arrogantly rumbling and grumbling - threatening a flood of torrential proportions.

What a night.

Thank you Heather, Ava and Jaxon - another night to remember - thank you for trusting in me to document your love.

And I simply cannot wait until the next time.
